Day 1 ~ Lots of driving and a birthday!

Happy birthday to Tiger!  

He turned 17 today.... and he got to sit in the car for a 9 hour drive.  

Yesterday was the cake and gifts time, and then today, we spoiled him with a dinner at Olive Garden where he got a special dessert. 

We just do not move fast in the mornings and didn't leave the house until 11am, so our arrival time was about 8:30pm (CST).  The drive here was uneventful: little traffic, short burst of rain, and lots of naps for the passengers!  

We stopped at Kentucky Stonehenge, but it was too late to be able to walk around, so we just took a picture, enjoyed the sunset, and got down the road. 

We are staying in Cave City, Kentucky at the Sleep Inn tonight, and will go to Mammoth Caves tomorrow. It's the largest cave system in the US! I can't wait to go underground!
