Day 2 ~ A Mammoth day!

Woke up bright and early!  A quick breakfast in the hotel and off we go!  We have things to do!

Today was a tour of Mammoth Caves in Kentucky.  The largest cave system in the US with over 400 miles of surveyed pathways, and an estimated 600 more!   This was an attraction people came to see all the way back to the 1810s!  There are about 130 forms of life in the caves.  We took the Domes and Dripstones tour, which lasted about 2 hours.  There were some tight squeezes, low ceilings, and big spiders.  It was just incredible!  Tiger and I also took a short hike through the woods, but didn't venture out far because we only had about 45 minutes before our tour started.

A quick picnic lunch from the back of the van, and we were off to the next city.... 5 hours of driving brought us to St. Louis, MO.  This is our first time in a Drury hotel and it's fabulous!!!  Free evening food which was our dinner, and a relaxing evening in the hot tub.

Hundreds of feet below the earth today... hundreds of feet above the earth tomorrow!
